We live in murky times, and sometimes words can offer some clarity. And sometimes not. But writing down our understanding of things is a good place to start.
We at Murky Press believe peering into our past may help untangle the present. Trouble is, the past can be mysterious. It can be, well, murky. It takes some effort and some patience to interpret what the past is trying to tell us. And we may still get it all wrong.
Nonetheless, spending time among those who walked this earth some years ago can also remind us of values that we may have inadvertently forgotten. Traditional American values, like caring for the natural world that sustains us, educating our youth, and protecting the liberties of all our citizens. Really, how can we continue to argue about those?
